Florida is likely to pass some of the nation’s most restrictive abortion laws, as the bill for a six-week limit on the procedure is now in the Senate, where the debate will continue on Monday. It needs to pass both chambers before it can be sent to Governor DeSantis for signature.

As the nation mourns the victims of a transgender school shooter in Nashville, the Florida Legislature has become ground zero for radical activists spewing their imagined resentment on politicians and regular citizens – claiming that legislation intended to protect children from a sexualized environment is a precursor to “genocide.”

The Disney saga continues with remarkable twists and turns, as the newly government-appointed board for what was the Reedy Creek Improvement District – or Disney’s self-governing protectorate – discovers that the entertainment giant has tried to circumvent Florida law by creating agreements that would retain their right to property for 30 years. But this story may have a happy ending, as the state is making Disney pay for the attorneys to challenge the contracts.
