Disney to Host World’s Largest LGBTQ+ Workplace Summit in Orlando

Last month, Governor DeSantis declared Disney’s corporate kingdom over in Florida. Now, the entertainment giant is planning for the largest LGBTQ+ workplace summit in the world.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA — Disney will host “the largest LGBTQ+ conference in the world” to promote “lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights in the workplace” according to Out & Equal, the summit organizer.

The conference is slated to take place this fall.

“Over more than 20 years, Summit has grown to become the preferred place to network and share strategies that create inclusive workplaces, where everyone belongs and where LGBTQ+ employees can be out and thrive,” the website boasts.

MCDONALD’S, WALMART AND THE CIA

The conference will be held at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando from September 11–14. The company plans to host the same summit again in Orlando in 2024 when DeSantis is expected to campaign for the Republican presidential nomination.

The event is sponsored by McDonald’s, Walmart, Hilton, Apple, Amazon, Boeing, Uber and John Deere and Out & Equal expects more than 5,000 attendees. In addition, government agencies listed as partners – including the CIA and the State Department – will have kiosks at the event.

Out & Equal’s conference in Las Vegas last year included speakers advocating for the rights of “transgender” teens. Attendees were also advised on how to maneuver around “anti-LGBTQ+” legislation at the state level.
