TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA — As top policymakers and corporate heavyweights meet in Davos at the World Economic Forum – a “public-private partnership” that’s taken upon itself to make decisions for the world outside the democratic process – Florida leaders are seizing the opportunity to attack the organization.
On Wednesday morning, Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez appeared on Newsmax, where she confirmed that she shares Governor DeSantis’ view on the globalist elites and the World Economic Forum.
In Florida, we care more about what the people in cities like Dunedin and Destin think, not Davos.

Under the leadership of @GovRonDeSantis, the ideas from the Woke Elite Forum are dead on arrival in our state. pic.twitter.com/hdLGrP5L6H
“We care more about what people in cities like Dunedin and Destin, and Deerfield Beach and Delray… We care more about what those people think than we do the elites in Davos,” Nuñez stressed.
She explained that policies such as banning gas stoves do not truly originate in Washington, D.C. – but are rather developed from “what they lecture us over in Davos – what I call the ‘Woke Elite Forum.’”
Governor DeSantis has emphasized on several occasions that he does not accept globalist elites trying to set policies for Floridians. According to the governor, those policies are “dead on arrival” in Florida.
Won't be happening in Florida.
