CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — As the Biden administration promotes and facilitates unrestricted immigration into the United States via the southern border, Illinois Democrat Governor JB Pritzker signed legislation that allows non-citizens to enforce the law as police officers and deputies in the state.
Pritzker signed the bill, HB 3751, into law late Friday afternoon. It passed the state legislature in May. Illinois Senate Republicans voted against the bill, but their House colleagues were overwhelmingly positive to the law, with only seven out of 40 Republican members objecting. The legislation is effective immediately, according to the governor’s office.
At 5pm yesterday, when no one was paying attention, Pritzker signed a bill to allow illegal immigrants to become police officers, giving non-citizens the power to arrest citizens in our state. No sane state would allow foreign nationals to arrest their citizens, this is madness!

The move has been deeply criticized by the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police.
“What message does this legislation send when it allows people who do not have legal status to become the enforcers of our laws? This is a potential crisis of confidence in law enforcement at a time when our officers need all the public confidence they can get,” the organization writes in a statement.
Republican Illinois State Senator Chapin Rose railed against the bill when it passed in May:
"To hand the power to arrest and detain a citizen of this state, or a citizen of any state in the United States, to a non-citizen is a fundamental breach of democracy," Rose proclaimed. "It is antithetical to the police power of any state,” Rose said.
Similar legislation has been passed in California and went into effect at the beginning of the year.
The billionaire Pritzker family of Hyatt Hotels fame is notorious for putting their fortunes to work for radical Leftist policies. The governor’s cousin, Jennifer Pritzker (formerly James Nicholas Pritzker), is one of the nation’s top supporters of transgender ideology through his TAWANI Foundation.
Governor Ron DeSantis responded to the news in a tweet, saying “To the Left, citizenship is meaningless. Illinois is now letting illegal aliens become police officers. In Florida, we took action to combat the harms of Biden’s border crisis. We also value our citizen officers who serve and protect our communities. As President, I will restore American sovereignty. No illegal alien should have authority over any American citizen. It is a sad commentary on the state of America that this is even a debate.”
