Former FDOE Director Kevin Hoeft Joins New College of Florida

“Kevin is ready to hit the ground running toward growing our student population,” said Interim President Richard Corcoran.

SARASOTA, FLORIDA — New College of Florida today announced Kevin Hoeft would join the college as its new vice president of enrollment management. Hoeft comes to New College from the Florida Department of Education (FDOE), where he served as education policy development director since 2019.

“Kevin is ready to hit the ground running toward growing our student population and I am very excited to have him join our administrative leadership team. I have pledged to grow our student body, increase enrollment, and attract students from all over the state and nation who want to be a part of the future of the residential liberal arts honor college in the state of Florida. Kevin will help lead the charge to make this goal a reality,” said Interim President Richard Corcoran.

Prior to his role at FDOE, Hoeft served in various leadership positions developing education policy. Hoeft also served as a regulatory board administrator with the Virginia Board for Contractors and Virginia Polygraph Examiners Board, where he oversaw the Board for Contractors tradesman licensing program and the Polygraph Examiners Board program.

On February 28, Richard Corcoran told the Board of Trustees that his top goal is student recruitment.
