Former President Trump Says He Voted for Governor Ron DeSantis

When asked if he voted for Governor DeSantis, former President Trump said, “yes, I did.”

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA — Former President Trump went to the polls today, casting his vote for Governor Ron DeSantis. “I think we're going to have a very big night,” he told reporters. “And it's going to be very exciting to watch.”

Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, voted at the Morton and Barbara Mandel Recreation Center in Palm Beach just before noon on Tuesday. As the couple walked out, he told reporters that he “hopes the right thing will happen” when votes are counted across the nation.

Trump’s visit to the polls closed out a series of campaign rallies leading up to election day – including his visit to Miami on Sunday. “You're going to re-elect the wonderful, the great friend of mine, Marco Rubio, to the United States Senate, and you are going to re-elect Ron DeSantis as your governor,” he told supporters in Miami.

At his stop in Ohio on Monday night, Trump said he was going to make a “very big announcement” next Tuesday from Mar-a-Lago. The former president now lists Mar-a-Lago as his primary residence.
