Hundreds of “Mamas” Attend Casey DeSantis Event in Jacksonville

“The difference makers in this election are the people who are in this room. It is the mamas who are fired up to get out and they’re the ones who are going to get out and vote,” Florida’s First Lady said at the packed event.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FLORIDA — On Tuesday, Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis hosted a Mamas for DeSantis Regional Summit in Northeast Florida. Hundreds of Florida mothers and grandmothers were in the packed auditorium to listen to the First Lady talk with Kiyan Michael.

Kiyan Michael is running for Florida House District 16, and she is also an angel mom. She recently told her tragic story in a DeSantis campaign ad – about losing her son in an accident caused by a drunk driver who was an illegal immigrant. The Florida Standard has previously reported on the story.

Casey DeSantis and Kiyan Michael talked about the key issues for Florida residents in this election – parental rights, public safety and keeping the state free from lockdowns and draconian mandates.

“The difference makers in this election are the people who are in this room. It is the mamas who are fired up to get out and they’re the ones who are going to get out and vote. And that’s why we are going to have a historic election in the state of Florida. I can feel it,” the First Lady said.

In the latest major poll, Governor Ron DeSantis leads challenger Charlie Crist by 11 points.
