“Living Rent Free in Trump’s Head” – The DeSantis Download: March 31, 2023

What’s up next for Ron DeSantis?

The battle between DeSantis and Trump rages on, even in the midst of Trump’s indictment. What seems to be most important for the Trump camp is not the fact that the former president is the first president to ever be brought up on criminal charges, but Governor DeSantis’ response and what he intends to do about it.

Some on the MAGA side did not think DeSantis’ admonishment of the Soros-backed prosecutor and the fact that he will not assist with extradition was good enough. They are calling for the Florida governor to cancel his “shadow presidential campaign” and support Donald Trump. This begs the question, is anything DeSantis does good enough in the eyes of the people on the Trump side other than a complete bow down to the former president?

The contest between the two seems to fiercely be dividing the Right, and most people are choosing their sides now and watching for what happens next.

In the latest drama over Disney’s special district, the not-so-magical board of district supervisors pulled a stunt to outmaneuver Governor DeSantis and the Florida Legislature. Land use agreements, considered “unlawful” by the new district board, give Disney control of the district for 30 more years and “binds the hands of the new board” according to legal counsel for the governor’s newly-appointed board of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District.

But the plan seems to have backfired. Under the law, the new board has the power to tax Disney to fund the special district. That means Disney will end up paying the legal fees of the five high-powered attorneys hired by the new board. Expect fireworks in the months to come.

Here is everything you need to know about what is happening in DeSantis World today.
