Mayor, Police Chief Among 200,000 Cheering as Confused 11-year-old Boy Leads Orlando “Pride” Parade

ORLANDO, FLORIDA — The parents of a confused 11-year-old boy in Orlando volunteered him to be the face of a massive public event pushing homosexuality and the transgender agenda on Sunday.

Dennis and Jaime Jara agreed to let their son Dempsey lead the Orlando “Pride” Parade as “Grand Marshal.” More than 200,000 people participated in the massive spectacle that closed down major roadways downtown.

Jaime, a high school teacher at Osceola County Schools, told the Daily Mail she concluded that her son was not a boy when he was eighteen months old.

“Basically since [he] was able to express [himself],” she said. “[He] always gravitated to dolls, dresses and sparkly objects.”

Sunday was not the first time the Jaras put their son’s confusion on display for public consumption. Jaime and Dempsey previously appeared on the HBO series “We’re Here” – a show aimed at growing social acceptance for homosexuality, transgenderism and cross-dressing male performers.

Dempsey’s participation also received the endorsement of his local government officials. Congressman Maxwell Frost (D-Florida), Florida Rep. Anna Eskamani (D-Orlando), Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orlando Police Chief Eric Smith were among the high-profile politicians and officials in attendance. Both the City of Orlando and the Orlando Police Department shared celebratory posts on social media.

On social media, many users argued the spectacle constituted child abuse, and several others even called for the state to take action against the boy’s parents.

Some pointed to the permanent damage the boy will be forced to endure for the rest of his life.

One man tweeted: “Wait until he grows up and realizes what’s been done to him.”

SEXUAL BONDAGE AND KIDS

Behind Dempsey, scores of men dressed in women’s clothing, BDSM dog masks and sexual bondage attire waved to young children standing on the sidewalk watching the rainbow procession. Similar scenes were captured earlier this month at a LGBTQ Pride parade in Jacksonville.

BDSM – short for bondage and discipline, domination and submission – represents sadism and masochism. Sadism is “the tendency to derive pleasure, especially sexual gratification, from inflicting pain, suffering, or humiliation on others” while masochism is “the tendency to derive pleasure, especially sexual gratification, from one's own pain or humiliation.”

FLORIDA: LGBTQ FRIENDLY?

Due to the state’s efforts to curb the sexualization of children, mainstream media outlets, Democrat politicians and LGBTQ activists have decried Florida as “hostile” for homosexuals, crossdressers and those confused about their gender.

In May, Governor Ron DeSantis signed into law the Protection of Children Act prohibiting businesses and local governments from exposing children to “adult live performances” – that is, those that “depict or simulate nudity, sexual conduct, sexual excitement, or specific sexual activities” or other “lewd conduct.” Individuals who violate the law – including government employees who issue permits for such performances – could be charged with a first-degree misdemeanor

However, last week, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals voted 2 to 1 against removing a temporary block on the legislation which was issued by a Clinton-appointed federal judge on June 23. As a result, enforcement of the law will remain blocked until after the conclusion of the trial, currently sent for June 3, 2024.

On Friday, Florida officials petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to limit that prohibition to Hamburger Mary’s Orlando, the drag-themed restaurant that challenged the law’s constitutionality.
