NAPLES, FLORIDA — The southwest coast of Florida is getting pummeled by Hurricane Ian, after the Category 4 tempest’s expected path changed slightly early Wednesday morning. The hurricane’s wind speeds reached 155 mph, just shy of reaching maximum Category 5 status.
As the life-threatening winds and torrential rain wreaks havoc, spectacular images are flooding social media channels. Check out the latest, as of 3 pm on Wednesday.
