TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA — A new ad for Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign takes aim at former president Donald Trump’s broken promise to prosecute Hillary Clinton.
The ad was posted on Monday evening from the pro-DeSantis super PAC Never Back Down with the caption: “Despite his 2016 campaign promise to prosecute Hillary Clinton, Trump chose to ‘help her heal’ instead of healing the rule of law.”
The caption also added a quote from Trump himself, in which he responded to a crowd chanting “lock her up!”
“That plays great before the election,” Trump said. “Now we don't care, right?”
