There was no comment today from Governor DeSantis regarding former President Trump’s day in court. The governor has kept his lips sealed since his tweet about not assisting in any sort of extradition. It seems like Florida’s leader is staying focused on his legislative priorities and his “Freedom Blueprint” during session instead of engaging with sensationalist drama on the national stage.
Regardless of his silence on the matter, it seems clear that no matter what the governor could say about Trump, it would be met with serious vitriol from those in the MAGA-or-nothing crowd – most likely further cementing DeSantis’ decision to stay mum.
First Lady Casey DeSantis held a pet adoption event today at the Grove Museum in Tallahassee, partnering with local pet shelters to help find homes for dogs, cats and other furry friends. Attendees were encouraged to donate pet supplies, such as food, puppy pads and milk replacement formula. Children in attendance had the chance to participate by holding and bottle-feeding kittens.
Governor DeSantis will be attending a breakfast in Midland, MI with the Midland County Republican Party on Thursday, April 6 and will later on be speaking at a dinner at Hillsdale.
