HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA — Nine people were wounded after being shot on the Hollywood Boardwalk on Monday evening.
The incident arose after a heated altercation between two groups escalated to the point of gunfire.

Hollywood Police said they have detained one person of interest but are continuing to look for another suspect who they said was described as wearing a black short-sleeved shirt and camo shorts.
All nine victims were hospitalized but are in stable condition, according to CNN.
“Thank you to the good Samaritans, paramedics, police and emergency room doctors and nurses for their immediate response to aid the victims of today's shooting,” Hollywood Mayor Josh Levy said in a statement.

DEMOCRATS BLAME PERMITLESS CARRY
California Governor Gavin Newsom pointed the finger at Governor Ron DeSantis for signing a new permitless carry bill.
“Until our leaders have the courage to stop bowing down to the NRA and enact common sense gun safety this kind of senseless violence will continue,” Newsom tweeted.
Many people – including DeSantis’ press secretary Jeremy Redfern – were quick to point out that the legislation has not yet gone into effect.
Newsom’s tweet and another viral tweet from gun restriction activist Shannon Watts got tagged with a community note because it also blamed Florida’s new permitless carry law. Watts censored her critics by restricting replies to her only followers.
Watts’ tweet racked up 7.7 million views as others on the Left latched onto her anti-gun rhetoric.
“We are NOT responsible enough as a people to own guns,” popular Democrat pundit Paul Schroder argued.
