PALM BEACH, FLORIDA — Trump’s former legal advisor Jenna Ellis uncorked a series of tweets on Wednesday blasting “hypocrisy” in the former president’s 2024 campaign attacks against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
“I respect President Trump, but I’m tired of his campaign hypocritically accusing Ron DeSantis of doing things THEY do,” Ellis tweeted on Wednesday evening. “Since they insist on lying about DeSantis, I have created a running list of Team Trump's ties to Jeb, The Swamp, and Woke corporations.”
The initial tweet garnered over 1.5 million views just 15 hours after Ellis posted it. Ellis became a nationally recognized figure during Trump’s legal push to halt the 2020 election results.
“Not all, but Trump’s worst ‘advisors’ are chronically unemployable losers whose livelihoods depend on him. That's why they're so terrified of DeSantis,” Ellis added. “I will update this list so long as they insist on lying and making the campaign and this election about anything other than the issues.”
“SWAMP OPERATIVES” IN TRUMP CAMPAIGN
Ellis’ tweet was in response to Trump staffer Alex Bruesewitz’s implication that polls conducted by Public Opinion Strategies were cooked up with the sole purpose of boosting DeSantis. She began by calling out the history between pollsters whose surveys have shown Trump leading all candidates.
“Trump’s 2024 campaign is led by former Bush and Swamp operatives with close ties to woke corporations,” Ellis wrote. “Trump’s pollster, McLaughlin & Associates… was Jeb Bush’s pollster and he has been paid $3.8 million by Trump since 2016. In addition to Jeb Bush, Trump’s pollster has worked with: Anheuser-Busch, Pfizer, Amazon / Bezos, NY Post / Murdoch, Eric Cantor, Gates Foundation / Bill Gates.”
Ellis went on to call out Trump’s strategist Susie Wiles’ and campaign manager Chris LaCivita for their past employment for George H.W. Bush, Charlie Crist, Obama’s Ambassador to China, The Bush family, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, among others.

“I have nothing against these Trump operatives,” Ellis continued. “Trump and his people are the ones who say Bush and Swamp ties disqualify you from the Republican Party. Fine. Then by their OWN standard, Trump's campaign should be disbanded and he should be disqualified. His rules.”
Bruesewitz accused Ellis of lying and said the information was “out of context” – though he declined to provide any additional context. Other Trump supporters tweeted ad hominem attacks on Ellis, but failed to debunk her claims.
