Two Alleged Child Predators Caught in Miami Sting Operation

Anthony Infante and Schneider Colon got caught up in an undercover operation to fight human trafficking in Miami.

MIAMI, FLORIDA — Two men were caught up in an undercover sting operation when they entered a Miami hotel room expecting underage girls for sex but instead found undercover police officers.

Anthony Infante used Telegram, an encrypted instant messaging service, to request two teenage girls under 14. According to arrest records, Infante paid $500 to have sex with the girls without a condom for one hour.

Schneider Colon told undercover officers on Telegram that he worked at the hotel and agreed to meet with a teenage girl to have sex for $70. According to the arrest report, Colon said he had cash in his car and would pay later.

After Infante was arrested, he told police that he paid for the meeting to try to rescue the two girls from prostitution.

County records show the men were booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center Thursday morning. Prosecutors filed charges of human trafficking, using a computer to commit a felony, traveling to meet a minor, and using a two-way communications device unlawfully.

The Miami Police Department and The Department of Homeland Security led the operation. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the suspects’ alleged involvement in commercial sex with minors to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
