TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA — Tyler Russell joins Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) as Chief of Staff.
DBPR is charged with licensing and regulating more than 1.6 million businesses and professionals in the State of Florida, including alcohol, beverage & tobacco, real estate agents and appraisers, condominiums, spas, hotels and restaurants.
Russell leaves his position as Chief of Staff for Enterprise Florida (EFI), the public–private partnership between Florida’s business and government leaders focused on the state’s economic development.
Prior to joining EFI, Russell served as Deputy Chief of Staff for the Florida Department of Management Services, overseeing the Legislative Affairs, Communications, and External Affairs offices. Russell also led the Florida Cybersecurity Advisory Council.
At the beginning of the DeSantis Administration, Russell served as a Deputy Policy Director on the Governor’s Transition Team and a Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs in the Executive Office of the Governor.
